Tornado Warning!

Except for the tornado warning late this afternoon it was a nice warm day out. We spent a lot of it on the patio and playing in the grass in the backyard with Frederick. I pointed at things and told him what they were and most of the time his response was a contorted form of "duck". It sounds like he's trying to mimic the words I say but they always have a bit of a "duck" spin on them. The ladies in the gym nursery said he didn't get upset at all again today. We're on a roll! He's started making growling noises when he gets really excited. We're loving it. Benjamin had a taste of potato salad tonight. It'll be a while before we try that again. He hated it. But he does love his new freeze dried bananas and strawberries. He had those for the first time today and just ate them all up! He also had the toddler cheese puffs for the first time and loved those as well.

Guess who's Crawling?

This weekend started out great. First thing Friday morning Benjamin went to his music class then we headed over to Norma's for some playtime with Isabella. Then we came home and packed for Grandmother's. Benjamin got really into it....notice how he couldn't stay out of the suitcase in the pictures. We spent the night Friday and then I headed home to get the house ready for the second Bible study group I joined. I hosted the meeting here for the officers. Then early Sunday morning I headed back to Sherman to get Benjamin. I was really missing him and Mom was saying he was fussy that morning because he's teething. He has 6 teeth already and is cutting his seventh. He's doing two new things. The first thing is that he's finally figured out how to get himself into a sitting position from a lying down position. He's also started pulling himself up to a standing position from a sitting position. Progress! Oh boy...as I was typing up this blog something totally big happened. I noticed he was crawling around our living room floor. We got it on video. As of this moment our lives have completely changed.

Baby Got a New Pair of Shoes!

Today was really busy! Good thing it was gorgeous outside since we had so much running around to do. First thing this morning the ladies in the gym nursery said he did just great! They found a new thing he likes...a walker. (We already knew that, but GREAT!) After his nap today we went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some yarn for Natalie's blanket and then we went to the mall and walked around. He got some new shoes (check them out in the pictures). He actually keeps these on. He's tried to get them off but he can't. He also got some more overall's. I just love him in overalls. OH! We also received the portable crib that I ordered. Can I just say I haven't been so excited about anything in a really long time like I was when I put this thing together today? It's the absolute best - it only weighs 11 pounds and folds up to nothing. It's going to be PERFECT for our Greece trip. Happy Day!

Tired.....

One hour and 42 minutes. That's the amount of sleep I got last night. Reason? Within minutes of getting off of the phone with Joe & Nancy I was face down in our master bath toilet. I was sick most of the night. David telecommuted to work today so I could rest. He actually got a lot of work done! Ben slept until 10am (that's after he woke up for his 7am bottle - he promptly fell back asleep). I'm better now. Just tired and weak (go figure). All of this means I'm missing our last video session of Beth Moore in our Bible study tonight. I've been looking forward to this session since the very first week of Bible study back in September. I'm bummed that I have to miss it. However, I did find out from Laura that I can rent the audio version of it from church.

I captured a few pics of Benjamin reaching his hand out for one us (which is totally new). He's wanting one of us to grab his hand so we'll help him walk around the house. It's just too sweet to say no to that! I also included a picture of Frederick. Looks like last night wore him out too!

I Give In....

Okay, I give in to the whole new era of blogging.

What a gorgeous day it is! Benjamin and I took some pictures outside in our backyard this morning and then went to his Gymboree class. All he wants to do now is walk....he isn't doing it by himself yet though. He expects one of us to take him by the hands and help him walk around the entire house! It takes me 10 times as long now to get to the next room.
