I saw this list somewhere and now I don't remember where!  But obviously I like it or I wouldn't post it.  :)

What are my goals for my kids? I want them to be:

• ***  Independent thinkers who can solve problems.

• ***  Self Motivated – to reach their goals.

• ***  Able to use their gifts and skills in a niche they carve for themselves along       
•       the way.
• 
  
• ***  Able to take new things they learn and assimilate them into the myriad of 
•       things they know.
• 
  
• ***  Given a task and be able to work on it by collaborating or researching
•       independently to complete the task/make the product/carry off a presentation 
•       or all of it with excellence.
• 
  
• ***  Starters and finishers.
• 
  

***   I have no interest in them being able to follow just what everyone else does 

       or to have to fall in line with minute expectations that are only relevant in a 

       traditional educational setting.
