David the Handy Man
David updated some bookshelves that were SO 1978 in our living room. It took about 4 weeks but it was definitely worth the wait. We were able to convert it into a desk for me, which by the way, I'm typing from right now. I'm giddy.
Gaylord
My friend Sherry invited me along with some of her friends to celebrate her daughter's (Haley) birthday. The kids all had a good time playing together - swimming in March? Why, yes, thank you! Her youngest stayed in our room with us. Ever heard of sleep screaming? Me neither, until that night. ;)
Dress Up
My mom saved all of my dance costumes from the time as was 3 years old to 13 years old. She gave them all to me recently (there were a ton) and Savannah and her friends have had a blast playing dress up in them. Thanks Mom!
Tooth Fairy
Savannah wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy asking for a toy in exchange for her tooth. Well, the Tooth Fairy did not disappoint. She got a mini stamp set and was thrilled!
Nancy Nunez's Birthday
My mom, Nancy, and me celebrated Nancy's birthday at one of our favorites place, Houston's. Always spend too much when we go there so thankfully we don't go there too often, ha! The time was delightful and can't wait to do it again.
Valentine's Daddy Daughter Dance
Our gym hosts a Daddy/Daughter dance every year for Valentine's Day. This was David & Savannah's first ever Daddy/Daughter dance. She spent a lot of time looking at dresses on the internet to find the perfect one. When she saw this one she knew it was it.
Chicago 2016
Hannah, my dear friend's Sherry's daughter, tried out for The Voice in Chicago. They were sweet enough to invite me along. We had a blast. The weather wasn't near as cold as I wished it would've been. I'm from Texas.....I want to see some major snow! We visited the Sky Deck and the Bean and ate at several yummy restaurants.
New Year's 2016
We spent New Year's Eve with our neighbors again this year. Love how they make it family friendly and we ring the New Year in at 8pm! Unfortunately, Ben started to not feel well so we had to leave early. But here's a fun pic of him right before we left.
