Girls' Weekend

Savannah has been asking for about a year for me to surprise her with a hotel stay with just the two of us. I surprised this last weekend and we had a great time shopping, talking, & eating dinner out and the topping on the cake was room service for breakfast. David and Ben stopped by for a quick hello (and to drop off my pillow because everyone needs their pillow from home, right?). Ben & Savannah had a good time goofing off in the room before the boys left.

The Adolphus...Again

We celebrated Sherry's birthday at The Adolphus again. This time we added a "bike bar tour" along Deep Ellum. It was SO MUCH FUN! Always enjoy celebrating her birthday "month".

Crossfit Girls' Weekend

Another weekend at the Adolphus. This time with some CrossFit friends. Depeche Mode, pedicures, and House of Blues. It was a blast!

Crossfit with Sherry

I convinced Sherry to try CrossFit while I was in Tulsa. She's definitely not a fan!

Savannah's Turkey Legs

Savannah is definitely the baker in the house. She's come up with some great recipes that are actually quite tasty. Here's here latest, turkey legs - rice crispies, white chocolate, and pretzels.

Ouch

Battle wounds. What happens to pretty hands after 55 pull-ups as fast as I can? Not so pretty hands. Ouch. CrossFit is my happy place & my husband thinks I'm crazy.

Sky Ranch

Ben had the best time at Sky Ranch. He went with his friend, Hunter. It was a full week camp. We were nervous about him being gone so long but he ended up having a blast. He said he never got homesick although he did miss us. He's ready to go back!

Savannah Horse Camp

Her favorite thing - horses, and she got to be with them for 5 days straight 9 hours a day during camp. She was in Heaven!

Lesyln

This girl. In our 20's you could find us in our cars belting out opera songs together (can't believe I just admitted that...we made dogs howl). In our 30's you could find us at her place with a couple of bottles of wine belting out INXS songs (we "heart" Michael Hutchence). Now fully into our 40's we spend our time laughing so hard at our last 20 years of friendship our cheeks hurt. Here's to 20 more!

Family Reunion

We spent a few days up in the mountains of Spruce Pine, NC for David's Aunt Beverly's birthday/family reunion. It was absolutely beautiful & the kids had so much fun being outdoors horseback riding, swimming, & fishing. Loved that we had no cell service. Once we landed on North Carolina David got to pick the first spot to eat on our journey to the mountains. Of course, Hooters it was.
