Bieber Fever

I'm going to admit something. I saw the Justin Bieber movie Saturday night. But I'm about to admit something even funnier, I actually liked it! Natalie and I were the only grown women in the theater that didn't have kids with us. We stood out like a sore thumb! But it was worth it.

Valentine's 2011

David and I spent the weekend in the Hill Country for Valentine's (the kids stayed with Grandma Nancy and Granddaddy). The two of us stayed up until 4am Saturday morning talking....could you say we had a lot of catching up to do? Wow!

Bring on her Valentine's day....she's ready!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day sister!

David and me at Driftwood Winery. The man taking our picture was an attorney so you'd think he would be able to center a picture and not almost chop off David's head! He made the same mistake twice...maybe it was the wine?

Benjamin's First Date

I completely forgot to post this. A few weeks ago Benjamin called up his favorite "girl" friend and asked her to go with him to Chuck E Cheese. She accepted. Here they are...Riley and Benjamin. Sweet sweet sweet!

Snow Ice Cream

With the second snow fall last week I made snow ice cream for Benjamin. Considering I had never made it before it turned out quite well (yes, the brown stuff in the bowl is the ice cream...maybe I got a little carried away with adding vanilla). He ate a few bites of it and got bored with it though. Unfortunately I got sick from it....at least that's what I'm blaming it on.

Blogging & Sprinkles

This is something I read recently that made me laugh, in regards to my blog it's so true....
Blogging = "Never before have so many people with so little to say said so much to so few."

Anyway, we've been having trouble getting the kids to eat. There are times they're eating us out of the house and other times they eat like birds. Well, the picture below is one of those days that I couldn't get them to eat, BUT if I added sprinkles they would. Doesn't sound too tasty to me, but hey, the kids liked it. That works for me.

Activity Time

I had Benjamin work on an activity that was supposed to only consist of a measuring cup, two bowls, and flour. (This was to keep him busy while I prepared dinner and it made him think he was cooking too.) Well, that lasted all of one minute and he wanted to add to it. So we added 2 eggs and another spoon. Adding the eggs added on 30 more minutes of fun for him! Even the mess he made was worth it....I think? I kept telling him to please try and not make a big mess. He's response was "But Momma, good chefs make big messes!" This was WAY past my comfort zone of messes but somehow I pulled through it.
