Where'd it Go?

Got a picture of Benjamin saying "Where'd it go?". It's so precious how he makes the hand gestures when he says it. Also, Teddy Bear is always there with him. Got another picture of him sound asleep with his best buddy.

No Internet.....

We've been without internet for 5 days. It's been crazy! AT&T finally came today and got it all worked out. Because of having no internet I've gotten very far behind with work. I actually went in to the office for the last 3 days. We hired a babysitter to stay with Benjamin while I was there. It's amazing how much you can accomplish when you can focus and have no interruptions. I got so much done. Still a lot to do, but at least I can come up for air.

Got some pictures of Benjamin this week zoning out and waving his arms (he thinks he dancing) in front of the television. He loves television. Also got some pictures of him pushing his teddy bear around in his stroller. That would be his FAVORITE activity right now. He finds his teddy bear, puts him in his stroller and off he goes all around the house. We're loving it.

Big Feet

Okay, so Benjamin is 14 months old and he wears a size 6 and 1/2 double extra wide shoe. After church today David took Benjamin shopping at Stride Rite while I worked for a little bit. He came back with a new pair of tennis shoes and sandals. Notice the tennis shoes in the pictures. Yes, I know they don't go with his outfit...we were just putting them on to see him walk around in them.

We went to Reunion church today instead of Trinity Fellowship. Tom and Melanie went with us. When we dropped Benjamin off at the church nursery he was screaming his head off. Guess what he was doing an hour and a half later when we picked him up? Screaming his head off.

Bye Bye Da Da

While David was home on his lunch break this afternoon he had to scold Benjamin for doing something he shouldn't. Benjamin's response to Daddy's "no" was "bye bye da da". He was wanting Daddy to go back to work and leave him be. We got a big kick out of it.

He's tall enough now to get things off of the bathroom counter and kitchen table. He got a hold of my full cup of coffee yesterday morning and spilled it - thank goodness it had been sitting there a while and it wasn't hot. Got some pics of him reaching for things on our kitchen table. He's getting so tall!

ElmoCity.com

That's the new name of our playroom. Benjamin's cousins, Abby and Andrew, came over today for a playdate. Andrew declared that the playroom is a "state" and the "state's" name is Elmocity.com. Benjamin had a blast! Thanks Abby and Andrew for coming over today! I see that the web address "elmocity.com" is available...might be worth snagging it just for us!

Hard Headed...

Poor Benjamin. He's taken some hard hits these last few months while he's been walking. Notice the bruise above his right eye. As soon as one heals, he falls and another one appears. One day he'll get this walking thing mastered!

A Fun Morning in the Park

We went to the park this morning and Benjamin had a blast swinging in the swing. Below is video of him. He loves it!

Boom!

Benjamin's new favorite word. Press play to hear it. It actually sounds more like "boo" than "boom".

Massage?

I walked in on Benjamin yesterday getting a massage - literally! We have a little seat that vibrates that we never use and so I put it in his playroom. I was just playing around with it the other day and he was apparently paying attention and saw how to use it. He even knows how to turn it on and off.

Reality Bites....

Vacation is over and we're back at home. We had such a wonderful time. Scotland was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I can't wait to someday go back. It was such a contrast to Greece. Our hosts, Bev and Alan, were truly amazing. Truly wonderful people. (Brilliant cooks as well). We had some memorable times just sitting around their kitchen table drinking English tea having great conversation.

Benjamin picked up a new habit over the "holiday" - thanks to Grandma Nancy. His favorite word now is "Boom!" He says this when he throws something down - therefore, "boom" has now replaced "uh-oh". It's very cute - but kind of unnerving when you're sitting on an airplane and other people hear your baby keep saying "boom, boom".

Once again, Benjamin has adjusted to the time shift better than us. It's 8:30pm and he's sound asleep.

It was a very memorable trip. I'm so grateful we had the opportunity. To Joe and Nancy - you two are two of the coolest people I know! I don't think you ever got stressed about anything on the entire trip. It was so wonderful spending the time with you. Where are we going next?

Most Memorable Moments:
1. Greek Salads
2. Where in the world are we gonna park (Athens)
3. Where in the world DID we park? (Athens again)
4. Evenings listening to bag pipes on our balcony (Scotland)
5. Nervousness about clothes flying off the balcony
6. Watching Greek cartoons
7. Trying to not step on the black slugs on our bird walk
8. Nancy proving there really is a "Firth of Forth" and she didn't have a speech problem.
9. Lots of shortbread
10. Report anything to "Clarence" - the guy who can evidently can fix anything in England.
11. You want me to snorkel in that?
12. Benjamin growing 2 horns - then a 3rd.
13. Climbing everything that we could find.
14. Speed cameras
15. Saying goodbye to David's wallet - which is somewhere in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
16. Kelly, Nancy, and Benjamin not being able to make one single car trip without dozing off. Good thing the guys were in charge of the driving part....
17. Trying to save the fly that landed in David's beer.
18. Every SINGLE meal at the Dobson's house.
19. Changing diapers on doorsteps
20. Gordon the cow (steer)
21. Sunlight at midnight
22. No such thing as high chairs in Greece
23. High chairs in the pubs at Scotland
24. McDonald's serving beer
