Ben's Dream

Benjamin: "I had a dream last night that the toads out in our pond were fighting rattlesnakes with their tongues. But then the toads got distracted by a fly and then the rattlesnakes ate them."

This is one of those "had to be there" moments. To see his facial expressions telling this dream was hilarious. He's got a great imagination!

Bowling

Thanks to his long time friend Christopher, Benjamin went bowling for the first time a couple of weeks ago for Chris' birthday party. He had so much fun! He said as we were leaving that it was the BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER! He did a great job too! I see more bowling in our future. Yay! I took bowling in college, yes you heard me right, I took it in college. It was an 8am class 3 days a week and I can't recall that I ever missed a class. I'm not good but I love it and haven't done it in years. I'm so happy with Ben's enthusiasm with it.

Success!

The McKinney household is officially diaper free!  Yay!  Savannah has been doing a great job with potty training.  Like I said in posts previous, a new chapter.  Sniff sniff.

Although it's hard to see (and has nothing to do with the "potty training" post) she has red paint on her nose and is so excited about it.  Her favorite movie right now is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (apple doesn't fall too far from the tree) and she really wanted her picture taken.....so here you go!

Our Little Fishie

As of June 4th, 2012, we have a swimmer. Yep, Benjamin is officially a swimmer and a good one at that! It just clicked. We've been working on him for years. Then yesterday in Grandma Nancy and Granddaddy's pool he plugged up his nose, dove under water, kicked his feet and had lift off! I can't believe how fast it happened once he got it! We're so proud of him and so is he! It's such a relief to now know that if he ever fell in, he could get himself to the side (as long as he doesn't panic). A new chapter. Seems like we're having a lot of those lately.

Cowgirl

Savannah is really into shoes. Especially cowboy boots. She must have gotten the "shoe" gene from my mom because I'm not a shoe person. Her favorite shoes now are a pair of Benjamin's boots (which I LOVE...that'll fit in perfectly with my dream house...a log cabin, right?!?!). She wants to wear them with everything.
