Savannah's 7th Birthday

Savannah wanted 2 of her friends to come stay the weekend with us for her birthday.  Luckily, those 2 friends are sisters and daughters of one of my oldest and dearest friends.  So we made a girls' weekend of it!  The list of activities included: Birthday donuts, Sweet & Sassy, Build-a-Bear, Magic Time Machine, and LOTS of playtime.  It was a great weekend for all.  :)

Mommy Daughter Dress Up

Savannah wanted a "Mommy Daughter Dress Up Evening".  She had it all planned out - what we both were to wear (ended up being my 23 year old prom dress), how to do our hair (she had me crimp mine) and makeup, etc.  So sweet how something so small can make her so happy.

Carefree Colors

Every year the kids' school does a field trip to Carefree Colors.  Even though the school is closing we're going to continue the tradition.  Here's their latest creations.

Savannah's Puppy Tea Paw-ty

David the Handy Man

David updated some bookshelves that were SO 1978 in our living room.   It took about 4 weeks but it was definitely worth the wait.  We were able to convert it into a desk for me, which by the way, I'm typing from right now.  I'm giddy.

Gaylord

My friend Sherry invited me along with some of her friends to celebrate her daughter's (Haley) birthday.  The kids all had a good time playing together - swimming in March?  Why, yes, thank you!  Her youngest stayed in our room with us.  Ever heard of sleep screaming?  Me neither, until that night.  ;)
