Activity Time
I had Benjamin work on an activity that was supposed to only consist of a measuring cup, two bowls, and flour. (This was to keep him busy while I prepared dinner and it made him think he was cooking too.) Well, that lasted all of one minute and he wanted to add to it. So we added 2 eggs and another spoon. Adding the eggs added on 30 more minutes of fun for him! Even the mess he made was worth it....I think? I kept telling him to please try and not make a big mess. He's response was "But Momma, good chefs make big messes!" This was WAY past my comfort zone of messes but somehow I pulled through it.

Love it! Kudos for you, putting up with the mess. One of our kids' favorite is "quicksand" made with cornstarch and enough water to make a goo. It is hard and gooey at the same time... really fun. However, that one is only an outside distraction, because I definitely have to hose them down at the end!
