Tooth Fairy
5:45am.......Benjamin comes into our room and says "It fell out!". I'm still half asleep and ask him to repeat himself. "It fell out!!" he says again. Okay, like I said....still asleep here......I thought he was saying "he" fell out....of bed. I couldn't understand why in the world he was excited about that. I told him "Then, Benjamin just get back in bed". In fact, I encouraged him to just get in the bed with us and go back to sleep. Poor little frustrated guy gets in bed with us (David is thinking this whole time that Benjamin is saying Frederick fell out of bed). After we lay there for a few minutes trying to go back to sleep it FINALLY dawns on me what fell out......his tooth! After a couple of weeks of being so crazy excited about his loose tooth and then for us to seem like we didn't care that it just fell out, I can't imagine what that little boy thought of us! Broke my heart. I jump up and get all excited for him! There, that's more like it he's thinking! Ha ha! Anyway, come to find out he woke up that morning and the tooth had come out and was just loose in his mouth. Thank the good Lord he didn't choke on it while he was sleeping!!!!
The Tooth Fairy was very pleased with how well he's been taking care of his teeth. She left him, $5, a gold coin, and sugar free gum. He was ecstatic!
The pictures below are before and after.

Kerrville Folk Festival
David and I spent the weekend in the Hill Country to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. We rented a house on the river. I spent HOURS in a hammock, reading a book, taking a nap, and listening to a surprise rain shower! H.E.A.V.E.N.
Of course we had to visit our hippie friends at the festival. Good music, guitars, dread locks, campfires, tents, tie-dyed shirts, and lots of peace. We had so much fun visiting with most of these friends that we only see once a year there at the festival. We stayed up into the wee hours of the morning talking and catching up. (That's why the long naps during the day in the hammock back at the river house). The people there are awesome. Just awesome. There's no judging, no pretentiousness....just peace and love man!!! Ha ha.
Here is David at the festival at the campsite right before we left to go back to the house. All I need here is a one word description..........R.E.L.A.X.A.T.I.ON.

While we were at the house I saw this great picture....it completely captures what I want our house to be like.
Ok, so the saying below it about relatives....well I can't relate to that one because I already do relate to them!

River Time
We met up with one of David's really good friends, Chris, in McGregor a couple of weeks ago. He has kids about the same age as Savannah and Benjamin and they had a blast. He has a river not far from his house where we spent one afternoon and the kids had a good time just being outdoors! Which is something they don't do much here at our house. Wish that would change! :)

Ben's Graduation
The picture below is of Ben and his classmates receiving their "diplomas" at his Kindergarten graduation. The woman standing at the left was his teacher Ms. Joy. His other classmates are Cole, Joella, Kate, and Elizabeth. Has it really been 6 years?????? He's, like, a grown up now........sniff sniff.

Date Nights
We've had a couple of really great date nights lately. The first one was Richard unveiling his art studio to the Original 24 group. First, they started us out at III Forks and then they shuttled us all over in a limo bus to the studio. We met a lot of great people and we're so excited to part of this group.
On our way to the studio in the limo bus.
The second was to see the Indigo Girls. My friend Melanie contacted me as soon as she received an email about the McKinney Performing Arts Center having the Indigo Girls do an upcoming show. I quickly got on their website to get tickets. We were number 2 in line to get tickets and ended up getting front row center.....how's that for not procrastinating! Ha! We had a great time.....you would think the girls would recognize me by now with all the concerts and meet and greets we've been to.....oh well......
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures at the concert, but this is David and me before the show.

Sweet & Sassy
Savannah's friend Emily took her to Sweet & Sassy for her birthday. The girls got their hair done, face painted, new shoes, manicures, and pedicures. They were such little ladies! It was precious. I had perma grin the entire time. Savannah told me later that day that she doesn't want to do gymnastics anymore.....that she only wants to do Sweet & Sassy EVERYDAY!
