Yesterday was Benjamin's official birthday. We got up early and went for donuts, then dropped him off at school. After school we got him a couple of garden gnomes to place around our pond (doesn't take much to interest a 3 year old!) and he had a great time arranging them exactly how he wanted. Unfortunately as he was playing with them this morning he broke one of their hats. Oh well - adds character to the little gnome. Later that day David took the rest of the day off and we went to my favorite restaurant (ahem...NOT!) Chuck E Cheese. Afterwards we came home for cake. I think he had a pretty good birthday.

Birthday cake. Yes, it's pink. He told me he wanted chocolate cake with strawberry icing so that's what he got. He also has been saying he wanted a "Spring" cake - hence the green flowers.
